MAKEUP ARTIST & CREATOR

Hi, I’m Dani—thank you for visiting my site. Beauty has been woven into my story from the very beginning. From experimenting with my mom’s Avon collection to recreating bold looks out of glossy magazines, I’ve always been captivated by the transformative power of artistry. That fascination turned into a career spanning 14+ years, with work that bridges bridal, editorial, and commercial beauty.

Based in Minneapolis, I’ve collaborated with global beauty brands, lifestyle influencers, editors, celebrity makeup artists, and local businesses—each project a new opportunity to translate vision into artistry. My work extends beyond makeup to creative direction, videography, and content creation, where I bring a campaign mindset to everything I do. Whether it’s sculpting an editorial look, curating social-ready tutorials, or crafting cinematic visuals, my focus is always on creating beauty that feels modern, intentional, and impactful.

At the heart of it all, I love connecting with people and telling their stories through artistry. I’d be honored to collaborate with you and bring your next project to life.

“How do you apply foundation so it won't settle into wrinkles?“

"The more product you apply, the higher the risk of creasing and settling," says Schmidt. "Spot concealing is a great way to get your preferred coverage without adding multiple layers."

Or, if you really have your sights set on using a foundation, first consider the type of formula you're working with. If you're using a tint or liquid, Frankel says to try applying a few drops to the center of your face with your fingers before gently buffing out with a soft foundation brush.

For creams, try Schmidt's technique. She uses a dense brush for foundation so that she maintains control while applying. After brushing the foundation across your skin, she says to “go in with a damp blender and gently press the foundation into the skin." She says this helps smooth out uneven skin texture as well as soak up any excess foundation that is sitting on top of the skin, which could potentially slide into fine lines. “

“Possibly the best part about using an eyeshadow primer (aside from its benefits, of course) is how easy they are to apply. PR strategist and Sigma Beauty global makeup artist Dani Schmidt says to start by rinsing the lid to ensure the primer is sticking to a clean surface. "Don't apply a thick layer—this can result in creasing and unwanted patchiness," she says. Instead, she recommends using your ring finger to apply a thin layer across the entire lid, extending from the lash line up to the brow bone. "The warmth of your finger will help press the product onto your eye area to really melt it into the skin."
